How Often Should You Post on Social Media?
Posting frequency guidance per platform for 2026 — and why consistency matters more than hitting a magic number.
By The Plumefy Team

"How often should I post?" is the wrong first question. "What can I sustain?" is the right one. That said, here are sensible starting frequencies.
Rough cadence per platform
- X / Threads: 1–3x daily (short, cheap to make).
- Instagram / TikTok: 4–7x weekly.
- LinkedIn: 2–4x weekly.
- YouTube: 1–2x weekly (higher production).
- Pinterest: several pins weekly (evergreen).
Consistency beats frequency
An account that posts 3x a week for a year outperforms one that posts daily for a month and quits. Pick a cadence you can hold, then raise it once it's a habit.
